“What is the origin of this photographic project?”

This photo was taken in October 2016 in Monaco, where the charming team of the Hotel Métropole was generous enough to lend me a suite for the day so that I could carry out this shoot. It had been several months since I had bridles in my head on a series of photos to be taken in dark tones reminiscent of some Hollywood movies of the 60s: a story related to a mysterious place "Lonely Lovely Wait".

“Can you tell us more about this character? Did you imagine it?”

Justine is a model from the French Riviera who agreed to collaborate with me on this somewhat tragic-themed shoot. I wanted to leave some clues about this character's story all over the different photos in this series so that everyone can imagine their preferred scenario for this lonely and tormented young woman. At least that's what I tried to do with the phone open, the lack of facial expression, the alcohol, the newspaper, the body position, etc.

“How long does it take to take a photo?”

The amount of time it takes to take a shot varies from shoot to shoot. It can be very fast or very long if I can't get what I want. Sometimes all it takes is a little bit of magic for the photo to be validated.

"In your description, you say that you are a fashion photographer, what made you choose this style of photography?"

Fashion photography is everything I love, it's an environment where the artistic side can be taken to its limits and I like to sublimate models. It is a real pleasure to work with young brands or for media that are often looking for originality: I like the minimalist and the sophisticated.

“What device and equipment do you use to take your shots?”

I am using a Canon 5Dmk3 and various softboxes. I sometimes use natural light, but often accompanied by artificial light.

“Last question which concerns you more personally, since when did you know that photographer was your profession of predilection?”

From a young age, I have always wanted to evolve in the artistic world. I started making short films with my big sister, back then with the family camera. Then as a teenager, I practiced on my friends to learn photography techniques. I love the human body as well as fashion, so I thrive in the world of fashion: you can tell stories while enhancing the body and clothes.
