Pierre de Maere is a Belgian singer-songwriter, born in 2001 in Uccle. He broke through with “Un jour je marierai un ange”, certified diamond in France, and in 2023 won Best Male Newcomer at the Victoires de la Musique, the year of his debut album, “Regarde-moi”. His music blends electropop and French chanson. Before the stage he turned to photography, which he studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp: an artist who knows what an image can say.
Jeremy Jakubowicz shot a private session for him in his room at the Carlton Cannes, where he was staying, on 23 October 2026, the day of the 28th NRJ Music Awards and the day after his set at the free “Before NRJ Music Awards” concert. He began on the balcony, backlit against the bay, then moved inside, in black and white against the window light and in the amber light of the drapes, before finishing in the hotel corridors, beneath gilded sconces and against white mouldings, with direct flash. The same day, Jeremy also photographed M. Pokora, Mosimann, Naïka and Jaxstyle: all the sessions of the day are on the NRJ Music Awards photographer page.
Born in Cannes, Jeremy Jakubowicz is a celebrity photographer and a photographer in Cannes: he photographs artists at every major event in the city, from the Cannes Film Festival to the NRJ Music Awards. Singers who have stood in front of his lens include Pierre Garnier, Troye Sivan and Rihanna. To book a session, use the contact form.
