Maika Monroe is an American actress, born in Santa Barbara in 1993. Her breakthrough came in 2014 with It Follows and The Guest, and she has since become one of the actresses who matter in genre cinema, from Greta to Longlegs, opposite Nicolas Cage, in 2024.

On 12 May 2026, the opening day of the 79th Cannes Film Festival, Jeremy Jakubowicz photographed Maika Monroe at the Carlton Cannes. The actress was in Cannes for Victorian Psycho, by Zachary Wigon, presented in Un Certain Regard. In a sculptural sequinned Ashi Studio gown and Pasquale Bruni jewellery, she poses before a floral installation between the palace’s marble columns, then on the forecourt among the black saloons: classic screen glamour in the late-afternoon light.
